No Google? No problem.

zukka runs fully on de-Googled Android — GrapheneOS, /e/OS, LineageOS and the like. It needs no Google Mobile Services: on phones without them, zukka keeps its own encrypted connection alive instead of relying on Google's push, so your messages and calls still arrive in real time — with no Google in the loop. (The trade-off is a little more battery from that always-on connection.) Use the Universal Installer or the direct APK below — the Play Store option is the only one that needs Google.

The easy way without Google Play No tech needed

Don't want to use Google Play, and not sure what an "APK" is? No problem. Install our free Universal Installer — a Smartago app, no ads — and it handles zukka for you: it downloads the latest version, installs it, and keeps it updated. You never have to deal with files.

Step 2 — open it and enter this short code

Type this exactly, the SC: part included SC:zukka

Open the Universal Installer and tap Add by short code.
Type or paste SC:zukka exactly (yes, including SC:). The installer recognises zukka and fetches the latest version for you.
Tap install — Android may ask you to allow it, tap Allow. From then on the installer keeps zukka updated automatically — no store account, no files to manage.
